Our Lettuce seeds are selected for their high germination rates and their ability to thrive in the Gambian climate. Starting from seed allows you to plant in successions, ensuring you have a steady supply of crisp, fresh leaves all season long.
Sowing Tip: Lettuce seeds are very small and need light to germinate. Sow them very shallowly—about 3mm deep—and keep the soil misted so it stays moist but not soaked. In the hot Gambian sun, providing partial shade during the germination phase will help the young sprouts survive.
